The Butterfly – A fairytale with added value
We have chosen to interpret H.C. Andersen’s “The Butterfly” through the lens of our greatest strength: the art of embellishment with cliché and foil. As true specialists in the production of clichés, and in close collaboration with Foilco’s exceptional foils, we have crafted four exquisite interpretations of the fairytale. Each piece captures the butterfly’s restless pursuit of the next and the more beautiful
– a timeless reminder that it always believes something better lies ahead.

Pushing the boundaries of graphic innovation, we layered each image with multiple levels of embellishment. The fusion of embossing and hot foil creates a luxurious surface alive with light, texture, and depth, transforming with every angle of view. This tactile dynamism reflects the butterfly’s own fleeting beauty – never still, forever in motion.

The result is more than illustration; it is both a visual experiment and a celebration of Andersen’s poetic universe. By merging craftsmanship, technical mastery, and aesthetic ambition, we have transformed the essence of the fairytale into a contemporary, premium graphic experience.
